A new life: Arifa's Story

A documentary on the theme "Tsunami Aftermath - the Road to Recovery" produced by Television Maldives with the assistance from Asian Broadcasting Union (ABU), in 2005 to mark the first anniversary of Asian Tsunami. This documentary is based on a displaced woman (Arifa) and her family who had to abandon their island (Madifushi) and live in a new island (Maamigili). Arifa lost her husband on the fateful day of the Tsunami (26 December 2004). She now live happily with her family in a new house.
